Våldsamt Motstånd: Wermland
22/06/11 || Lord K Philipson
Värmland/Wermland is quite precious to me. One of my closest friends is from that part of Sweden and it’s also given us one of the finest death metal bands in history. Våldsamt Motstånd on the other hand isn’t exactly keeping with the tradition of handing out some excellent metal. But they do have the best song title I have seen in ages: “Skjut mig i hövve”. That is genius. The music, though, is far from as fucken excellent.
It is actually more like complete shit.
We have covered these guys before on GD and by looking at that review you know what to expect with this latest offering. Poorly, poorly produced crust with a few touches of semi-death is what you get. None of it is actually any good and I’ll just re-state the fact that they have better song titles than music.
2,5/10: Being from Värmland alone can’t save a band.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
